UPDATED COVID-19 TESTING PROTOCOLS
The Bahamas has suspended the mandatory RT-PCR testing requirement for vaccinated travelers, which was expected to take effect on 7 January 2022. Vaccinated persons, as well as children ages 2-11, may continue to present either a negative Rapid Antigen Test or negative RT-PCR Test.
In addition, effective 4 January 2022, all persons remaining in The Bahamas for longer than 48 hours will be required to undergo a Rapid Antigen Test, regardless of vaccination status.
DETAILS OF THE PROTOCOL CHANGES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
All those travelling to The Bahamas from other countries, whether fully vaccinated or unvaccinated, will be required to obtain a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than three days (72 hours) prior to the date of arrival in The Bahamas.
VACCINATED travelers and children between the ages of 2- 11, can present either a negative Rapid Antigen Test or RT-PCR Test.
All UNVACCINATED travelers, ages 12 and older, must present a negative RT-PCR Test (acceptable tests include NAAT, PCR, RNA, RT-PCR and TMA).
All children under the age of two are exempt from any testing requirements.
48 HOUR COVID-19 RAPID ANTIGEN TEST:
Effective 4 January 2022, a Rapid Antigen Test will be required for all travelers staying in The Bahamas longer than 48 hours (two (2) nights), regardless of vaccination status.
Visitors departing on or before 48 hours will not be required to obtain this test. This test replaces the existing Day-5 Rapid Antigen Test.

While on Vacation
On Island Testing
All visitors to The Bahamas are required to take a second COVID-19 test (Rapid Antigen) on the fifth day of their stay.
New Providence Island and Paradise Island residents visiting the property will be required to produce a valid negative Rapid Antigen test result taken within seven (5) days of their visit.
Residents of The Bahamas from islands outside of New Providence (and Paradise Island) are required to produce a valid domestic Travel Health Visa issued by The Bahamas’ Ministry of Health. A valid domestic Travel Health Visa is considered one that is not expired and has an approved status.
It is important to note that due to the fluidity of the COVID-19 pandemic, both in The Bahamas and worldwide, the safety protocols and procedures are subject to change. We recommend all travelers interested in visiting The Bahamas review entry requirements and safety measures applicable to each member of their party at bahamas.com before booking a trip.
Arrival and Departure – Airport Transportation to/from the Resort
By mandate of The Government of the Bahamas, Taxi services must procure and display a valid negative COVID-19 Rapid Antigen test taken within the previous seven (7) days. The valid negative test is also mandatory for entrance to the hotel. Any taxi that cannot present a negative test, will not be allowed access to the hotel.
Return Travel to the United States of America
CDC travel requirements effective January 26, 2021, require U.S citizens and international travelers ages 2 years and older returning to the United States of America to present a negative Rapid Antigen or COVID-19 RT-PCR test. The other requirements as per the CDC are listed below.
The Rapid Antigen or COVID-19 RT-PCR test must be taken within three days (72 hours) of departure and presented pre-departure at the airport. Airlines must deny passengers boarding if they do not provide a negative COVID-19 test result or show proof of a recent positive viral test.
Visitors returning to the United States may use the Day 5 Bahamas government-mandated Rapid Antigen negative test result to re-enter the U.S. as long as their departure date is on the 6th, 7th, or 8th day of their stay and test results are negative.
Comfort Suites Paradise Island will provide Rapid Antigen Tests FREE OF CHARGE for all registered guests (excluding gift certificate redemption) for return travel to the United States for reservations booked starting January 26, 2021.

The Paradise Island SAFE ZONE
& How It Works
Comfort Suites Paradise Island, Atlantis Paradise Island, Ocean Club Golf Course and The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort have partnered together to create a Paradise Island SAFE ZONE. Registered guests of Comfort Suites Paradise Island will be able to enjoy access to the amenities of the three Paradise Island SAFE ZONE properties including the Atlantis Casino, Marina Village, Ocean Club Golf Course, Aquaventure Waterpark and Mandara Spa.
Please note you will not be required to wear your masks while at the beach, swimming in the pools, riding the slides, and eating and drinking at the restaurants in the Aquaventure waterpark. However, wearing your mask is mandatory at all other times.
In keeping with COVID-19 safety and furthering our environmental efforts to reduce paper waste, our restaurant menus will be available via scannable QR codes. Simply hold your smartphone to the QR code, and the information will automatically populate on your phone.
If You Are Feeling Ill
